UNFINISHED WOMEN MINISTRY BIBLE STUDY

We had a blessed third season studying about  Jezebel, the Widow of Zarephath, and the Queen of Sheba, and many other women of the Old Testament. We are excited about the upcoming fourth season. Our fourth season will start on Monday, September 15, 2025. Join us as we begin Chapter 1 of the Book of Esther. In the book where God's name is not mentioned, it's not printed, but you know He is in control.

Unfinished Women's Ministry is an online (via Zoom) Christian inductive Bible study. We will be studying from the book “All the Women of the Bible” by Herbert Lockyer.  The Bibles used in this study are NKJV or NIV.  Salvation is a prerequisite for the Unfinished Women's Ministry.

Times: 5:00 PM (Pacific) 7:00 PM (Central), 8:00 PM (Eastern) .

Monday, November 3, 2025 - MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Xaviere, Lawanda, Sandra, Linda, and Brenda

Opening Prayer - Xaviere

Mandate - Brenda

Pastor Jacquie asked if there was any part of the mandate you didn’t understand. Important to know that males and females are made equally. We do it together.

The Gospel of John - read about love. You need to know love to learn the Bible. Genesis 2 is not love. It is lust.

Pastor Jacquie prayed for Sister Betty and Evangelist Jan.

Lawanda began with Chapter 8. She stated that she loved learning with the group.

Points she (Lawanda) made from Chapter 8.

Regardless of Esther’s fears, she stood in the gap for her people. God was with her. It was scary because you couldn’t be summoned without being granted. She stood in the face of Haman,  knowing God had her back.  She had faith going in and understood the faith in her life. She was equipped with the armor of God. She had divine protection. God told her she has the divine intervention, she has the power to defend themselves.

She reminded us of the hole Haman tried to dig - when you dig one ditch, dig two. Haman had a heart of stone.

We need each other more than ever, in this season.

Salvation - people saw the battle; they saw God’s power. With fasting and praying, God can overturn any situation.

Linda - Verse 11. The king’s edict was granted to protect themselves. They turned it around.

God gave courage instead of fear. They thought the king had the power. (Signet ring).

God was with Esther and gave her courage because she had faith.

As a child of the king, we must show courage and faith. We can’t put on sackcloth; you need a direct line to God. Fasting and prayer empower our souls.

It was never presented to Esther. Mordecia didn’t accept who he was. He acted like Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. When the truth came out, God was glorified. If love is put first, things change. God is love. If God be for us, who can be against us?

Sandra - I enjoyed you, Lawanda. It says they got the fastest horses to carry the decree. Verse 10, go quickly. It was a special breed for the king. God touched the king. God specializes in divine reversal. Don’t count yourself out.

Sandra: God specializes in Divine Reversals. Like Esther, you are placed where you are for a purpose. Your influence, kindness, and faith can be the very tools God uses to bring hope and deliverance to others. Fasting and prayer open God’s hidden plan.

Sandra - where in your plan do you need to trust your hiding plan? She gave an example of the Underground Railroad and the quilts. The quilts were maps and kept in plain view. God was hidden in plain view. Only those who believed in Him could see Him. “Like Esther, you are placed for a purpose in a place where you need to be”, stated Sandra.

Xaviere gave testimony of her temporary job assignment. “God had already prepared me. God has something for you. I was a witness in the right place. I got faith.” Faith cancels fear and opens the door for God’s spiritual plan.

God got something for us.

Sandra - leave residue of God’s spirit.

Xaviere - season of trusting - stay positive.

Sandra - know what season you are in. Three things about Esther and the season: 1) love your season, 2) enjoy the journey, and 3) be willing to adjust. Esther knew her season - know your season. Do your best wherever you are.

Pastor Jacquie - What is God doing in your life that you are celebrating and giving God thanks? We are ministers of God’s word. Y’all are seeing stuff, love instead of lust and law. Read the book of John. Love comes first.

Xaviere is teaching her sons about fasting at a young age. They have a kid’s devotional bible.

Xaviere prayed us out.

Next Week - Chapters 9 & 10, together.

Monday, October 27, 2025 - MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Xavier, Lawanda, Linda, Sandra, Jan, and Brenda

Opening Prayer - Lawanda

Pastor Jacquie asked how the fast was? All responded positively; it was good. Don’t talk about the fast while you are fasting. Did you feel divine protection?

Xavier shared an experience that happened on Saturday. A couple of members shared their experience.

God expects you to fast, pray, and give. Pastor Jacquie stated that she loves us all and gave a thank you to each of the sisters.

We also talked about the different types of love.

•    Eros – “Romantic Love” - the love between a man and woman. Romantic love

is a gift from God. Think of Adam when he first saw Eve; he experienced emotions he had never experienced before.

    •    Philia – “Affectionate Love” or friendship. This kind of Love binds two people together and holds them through thick and thin.

    •    Storge – “Familiar Love” - natural, overflowing Love that family members have for one another. Sometimes described as “brotherly love”.

    •    Pragma – “Enduring Love” - Long-Lasting Love.

    •    Philautia – “Self-Love/Self-Compassion” - Healthy self-esteem. Emotional appraisal of our worth relative to that of others. It is the matrix through which we think, feel, and act, and it reflects and determines our relation to ourselves, to others, and to the world.

    •    Ludas – “Playful Love”

    •    Agape – “Unconditional Love” the Spirit. Agape love is demonstrated through actions. In God, we see what true Love is. God is Love, and God defines Love for us. Agape Love is by far the most special and most respectful of all types of Love. Agape Love is a universal, unconditional, selfless Love for others.

Most of our study is based on love, lust, and law. We have to know the different types of love in the Old Testament.

Chapter 7 - Haman Impaled

We all did Chapter 7 as a group. Linda began with the reading of Chapter 7.

Haman hated God’s people.

What type of man was Mordecai? Opportunist.

Esther was confident and stepped out in faith. In Chapter 5, she was quiet.

The plan was set when she fasted. She spent time with the Lord. She knew the plan.

Mordecai was under the law. What he did in the beginning was wrong. It was full of lust. What man in the bible was like Mordecai? Abraham, Issac, Jacob, and the children of Israel. They were all opportunists. God wants us to see and understand.

There is a pattern of Hebrew and Jewish men in the Old Testament. Women did not have the teaching of God to know the law. However, God created them equally. Genesis 2 is not of our God.

In Chapter 7, God loves His people and rescued them. When Mordecai overheard the plot to kill the king and told the king, he was forgiven.

Persians were not allowed to marry Jews.

God worked it out. God’s name is never mentioned in the chapter.  God puts angels around us for protection. What did Mordecai get Esther into? (The threat).

Pastor Jacquie stated that she could see Esther in today’s world. Female and male are one.

This story is real life. Done wrong, led wrong, and taught wrong.

Esther told Mordecai to tell the Jews to fast for three days, a liquid fast. The bible is a book of the reality of life. This is reality. You have to see the word of God as the truth it is.

Virtuous Woman in Proverbs 31. She did everything for her husband while he sat at the gate drinking.

The Bible is a book of life, a book of learning. God did not tell Mordecai to take Esther to the king. That was Mordecai’s greed.

We must do the Bible as stated in the mandate.

Esther would have been ok if they had only wanted to enslave her people. But Haman planned to kill them all. After three days, Esther was empowered by God.  Her trust was in God and not man. The power of God was in her.

Sandra stated: King asked her what she wanted. She told him, Save my people. The king asked, Who is going to do this to you? Fasting gave her courage.

They knew Mordecia was a Jew because he wore sackcloth in the streets. Esther told him to take them off and sent him clothes to change into.

Whatever we confess, God will forgive us. Don’t make up excuses. We can’t hide anything from Him. Once we confess, God will forgive us. Don’t make up excuses. No one but God can save us.

John 3:16-17. We must read them together, 16 and 17. 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. He did not send Jesus to condemn us. It took centuries for us to be free - the blood of Jesus. Jesus took all our burden and pain.

Marriage

Don’t break your vows. We were raised to stay with abusive men. They will continue to be abusive.

Sarah, Leah, and Esther were abused. We need to preach it in the church, stated Pastor Jacquie. Be set free. When you are free, you are free indeed.

Don’t let anyone abuse you. Amen. Bold soldiers stand up for what's right.

A beautiful poem was shared by Minister Sandra Lewis. It is posted on our website under Bible Study.

Great discussion by all. Keep praying and going. See life as it is. Ask God about your situation. God will present it to you.

Evangelist Jan stated - He may not come when you want Him, but He is a on-time God.

Evangelist Jan prayed us out.

Next week - Chapter 8 by Lawanda.

Prayer  — “For Such a Time as This”  (Author Unknown)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for reminding me through Esther’s story that courage and truth still matter in a fearful world.

Give me the strength to speak when silence would be easier,

and the wisdom to wait until Your timing is right.

When I face opposition or injustice, help me to trust that You are still working —

even when I cannot see Your hand.

Protect my heart from pride, anger, or revenge.

Instead, let me act with grace, humility, and bold faith,

Knowing that You can turn every evil plan into a testimony of Your goodness.

Use my life, Lord, “for such a time as this.”

Let my words bring freedom, peace, and light to those all around me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

 Monday, October 20, 2025 - MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Lawanda, Linda, Sandra, Jan, and Brenda

Opening Prayer: Pastor Jacquie

Mandate: Brenda

Pastor Jacquie opened with a short story, titled “Don’t Build a Case Against Yourself.”

She also congratulated Linda for a job well done at Mind, Body, and Soul of a Woman, which Linda spoke on at the Women’s Conference. Excellent Job, Linda.

Esther Chapter 6, Mordecai Honored. Linda read the chapter.

Pastor stated: When you think so much of yourself. Haman - when you don’t have God, you glorify yourself or man.

What do you think of Chapter 6?

Sandra responded. God’s name is not mentioned. Divine intervention of God at the beginning of Chapter 6. It was not a consequence that the King couldn’t sleep. The king asked the question, “What has been done for Mordecia?” We see the hand of God working.

Samuel - speak, Lord, your servant hears.

God speaks to non-believers. The same thing is happening in Persian as in the United States.

3-day fast - God is working. In Chapter 4, a fast is going on. We can break every yoke. In Chapter 6, fast going up to God. God began to work on the king, and we see God working.

Who is blind, caught up in himself - nobody likes Haman. Haman, digging his own ditch, stated Linda. God is working it out. God is in charge. God is answering prayers.

Haman didn’t really hear what the King was saying about Mordecai.

Lots of churches don’t fast. We used to fast, said Linda. We must Fast & Pray.  The Esther fast is not easily done.

What is Haman trying to do?

God’s people in America are under attack. Jews in Persia grew accustomed to Persian ways.

Sandra - we fast. Some strongholds don’t break. So much is happening. We need God.

In Chapter 5, Zeresh (Haman’s wife) encouraged Haman to build a pole to impale Mordecai. But in Chapter 6, she is doom and gloom.

Mordecia threatened Esther - he did not know how to fast. Did they know Mordecai was a Jew? Good discussion. But most thought they did not know he was a Jew. If they knew he was a Jew, that meant they knew his cousin was also a Jew.

Haman thought about everything he would be honored with. He was very greedy and selfish. Do you know anybody like Haman? Have you seen this happen in your life span?

The edict came from Haman to kill the Jews. Attitude - pride comes before the fall. Satan was kicked out. Haman was trying to replace the king.

Haman was proud that Queen Esther invited him to the second banquet. God was in the plans.

Chapter 6:12 - Mordecai returned to the King’s gate. When you dig one hole, dig two. We see God working.

Why was Haman still alive? Deuteronomy  25:17-19 and 1 Samuel 15:1.  In Deuteronomy 25:17-19 it says:

17 Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt. 18 When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and attacked all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God. 19 When the Lord your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!

In 1 Samuel 15:1, God told Saul to destroy the Amalekites, including men, women, children, infants, oxen, sheep, camels, and donkeys, as a divine judgment for their cruelty and constant opposition to Israel since the Israelites left Egypt. But Saul disobeyed God by sparing the Amalekite King Agag and the best livestock. Haman would have been dead if Saul had obeyed God. God knows the future. Haman was an Amalekite but known in the Book of Ester as an Agagite, which was a part of the Amalekites.

Pastor Jacquie offered the titles of two books that deal with fasting:

Fasting for Spiritual Break Through (Foreword by Bill Bright)

Fasting for Spiritual Break Through Study Guide

Author: Elmer L. Towns

We decided to do a 3-day fast. The fast starts on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, and begins at 6:30 pm. It concludes at 6:30 pm on Monday, October 27 at 6:30 pm. We will be fasting for a breakthrough for God’s people.

Esther Fast is not a fast for unbelievers. It is a fast of deliverance and divine protection. Protection is an element of Esther’s Fast, a divine protection for God’s people. It is for born-again Christians.

It is a liquid fast. If you can’t do liquid, give up something you enjoy. Sandra’s mom gave up watching Wheel of Fortune.

We are praying that God will clean up the mess that’s going on with the one in charge and who has the power.

Great discussion by all! Next week, we will all do Chapter 7 together.

Evangelist Jan Lewis prayed us out.

Monday, October 13, 2025 - MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Jan, Xavier, Lawanda, Brenda

Open Prayer - Jan. She also sang for us, “Because of Who You Are”.

Mandate - Pastor Jacquie

Brenda presented - Esther, Chapter 5 - Esther’s Request to the King

The best part of this Bible study is learning about the women of the Bible with some amazing women. This is my first bible study, and I am blessed to be a part of it. I have learned so much.

We started at Genesis and are now in the book of Esther. In the book of Esther, God is not mentioned by name, but we know He is present. Esther reminds me of the mandate, the punishment, and God’s promise for male and female.

The Mandate: Genesis 1:27 - "So God created human, people in His own image; God patterned them after Himself; male and female. He created them." NKJV. When males and females are submissive to God, they are whole. That promise being that both are submissive to God, the Head. Males and females are equal in procreation.

The Punishment: " … your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you”. Genesis 3:16. Do we see King Xerxes ruling over Esther? Although King Xerxes was a drunk, I think he really loved Esther.

It also shows Esther’s courage. Minister Sandra Lewis mentioned something that I loved: the seasons of a woman. We know that Esther was only 14 years old when Mordecai requested her to participate in the running for Queen.

Let’s take a look at what is happening in Chapter 5. Esther is preparing to ask the King not to honor the edict that Haman talked him into placing on her people, the Jews. This takes place after she and her people completed a 3-day fast. They sought the Lord. It states that on the third day, Esther put on her royal robe and stood in the inner court of the palace.

When the King saw her, he was pleased. Esther was glowing with the anointing of the Lord. Remember, in Chapter 4, Esther sent instructions to Mordecia to have her people fast for three days. She fasted with them. When you fast and pray, God moves. “We are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14). Esther sought the Lord, and her glow shone through. The King held out the gold scepter, which meant Esther could enter his presence. King Xerxes asked her what she needed, stating that she could have anything up to half of his kingdom. Willing to give her anything tells me that he loved Esther.

Esther’s request was to hold a banquet for him and Haman, and then she would tell the King her petition. The banquet was held that day, but Esther still didn’t tell the king what she wanted. She planned another banquet for him and Haman the following day. Then, she would ask the King.

After leaving the banquet, Haman saw Mordecai at the king’s gate. Again, Mordecia showed no fear and did not bow to Haman. Haman did not confront him; he went home. He told his wife and son how the king placed him above his Nobles and officials. He told them that Queen Esther had invited him to a second banquet.

Then he remembered his hatred for Mordecia. His wife told him to have a pole set up and to ask the king to have Mordecai impaled on the pole. Haman loved the idea and had a pole set up.

This ends the presentation of Chapter 5. Get ready for Chapter 6. See how God steps in and works.

****************

Esther was a leader. In chapter 4, we see her leadership forming. She sent Mordecia instructions to give to the Jews, fast for three days.

Pastor asked why Mordecia wouldn’t bow.

The relationship of Jews and Haman. Haman was an Agagite. They did not get along. It was hidden that Mordecia and Esther were Jews.

Men use women. Abraham used Sarah’s beauty. Issac & Rebecca got scared. He let Rebecca deal with the king. John the Baptist's head was requested on a platter by a woman.

The Hebrews used women.

Mordecia was prideful. He would not bow down.

God told Saul to destroy the Amalekites, including men, women, children, infants, oxen, sheep, camels, and donkeys, as a divine judgment for their cruelty and constant opposition to Israel since the Israelites left Egypt. But Saul disobeyed God by sparing the Amalekite King Agag and the best livestock. Haman would have been dead if Saul had obeyed God. God knows the future.

Great discussion on Chapter 5. We will all do Chapters 6 & 7 as a group.

Read what God says about fasting and praying. Fasting is about being like Jesus. Use the power of the Holy Spirit inside of us. We can all do a group fast.

Write down something you want God to do for you.

Fasting for deliverance and divine protection.

3-day fast - liquid fast. Do it with something you have been talking about with God. If you don’t want to put it on the internet, send it to Pastor Jacquie. We will discuss more next week.

After we finish Chapter 6, we will come up with fasting dates. We will have a time; we will all be praying.

Xavier prayed us out. See you next week.

Chapter 4 - Mordecia Persuades Esther to Help - Evangelist Jan Lewis

Pastor shared that the word courage comes to mind when she thinks of Esther and Chapter 4. Chapter 4 is full of courage. “God is my courage.”

Evangelist Jan began by saying, "I pray the Holy Spirit will guide me tonight." We want to be like Esther.

Linda began reading Chapter 4 from the NIV. May the Lord add a blessing to the hearing of His word.

Esther was a leader of the Jews. Esther 4:13-14 - God’s timing was perfect. God has a timing. Compare the bible to every generation. God’s promise is God’s word.

It’s not about trump - it’s all about God. He is to be praised.

Verse 14 - God’s provision with service. God’s provision came to Mordecia to deliver instructions to Esther.

In Chapter 2, instructions were given. When God equips us, he qualifies us. He will give us what we need.

Linda - Mordecia put them in jeopardy. She sent him a message. King and laws are important. God brings us out of trouble.  Does he remember what he did to get them there?

In Chapter 3, Mordecia wouldn’t bow.

The King owed Mordecia a favor. He saved the King by telling him about the plot. Chapter 3:8.

Mordecia stepped out of his element, and Mordecia refused to leave. He stayed. He used his niece to get in with the King. He knew Jews were hated.

God knows what is going to happen before it happens.

Mordecia got comfortable; that’s why he was enslaved. Never get comfortable in satan’s den. This earth is not our home. If they had said they were Jews. The people would not pick a Jew.

When Mordecia saw what he had started, he was scared. If he had told the truth, Esther would not be queen. After refusing to bow, he put them in danger.

God rescued them.

Haman was the crook. Haman built a gallows for the Jews. But it was used for him; it backfired on Haman.

Chapter 4, Mordecia did not mourn until he understood the edict. He was the reason this was happening.

Past history - women were used by men to profit. Used to bring prosperity to their husbands.

Jesus stepped in. Mordecia used Esther. The treatment of women in the Old Testament was the same. Hebrew and Jewish men used women.

Brenda - incorrect teaching brings incorrect behavior.

Esther went to God to save her people. She fasted and prayed with her people.

Some don’t like to pray. People are not committed. The bible says to pray.

These men with Hebrew and Jewish women, religious men think they can do it too. Women were lower than animals. We have to teach our sons how to treat women.

It has been preached that Mordecia called on the Lord. Did he? Who knew Esther and Mordecai were Jews? Jan - I believe Haman knew.

You have to stand on what you believe - for God - stand on the word of God.

Why wouldn’t Mordecia bow?

So many women have been brainwashed. Esther took on leadership; she was confident in God’s plan. Always keep God first. In times of grief, she led by example. She prayed and fasted along with her people.

Lawanda - we have a voice. Sometimes we have to fix what’s broken.

Pastor - remember the triangle. If women are submissive to God, if men are submissive to God, they are both whole. It goes back to the Mandate.

Most preachers don’t preach Genesis 1, they go to Genesis 2.

Genesis 2 - birth of sin

Genesis 1 - birth of righteousness

Great meeting with lots of discussion.

Next week - Brenda - Chapter 5

Pastor Jacquie prayed us out

Monday, September 29, 2025 - MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Xavier, Lawanda, Linda, Brenda, Evangelist Jan

Opening Prayer - Pastor Jacquie

Mandate read by Lawanda

Chapter 3 - Linda - Haman’s Plot to Destroy the Jews

History of the exile: God exiled the Israelites for 70 years because of their repeated disobedience to God’s law, particularly the failure to keep the Sabbath year of rest for the land.

Why would the captivity last 70 years? (Jeremiah 25:11–12)

11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

Linda began by reviewing the previous chapters.

Mordecai found favor with the King. The plot was true. We talked about the man Mordecai was. He used his niece to find favor with the King. We see in Genesis 3:16, Mordecai was over Esther’s life, abuse in all forms.

King Xerxes was being manipulated by Haman. Haman was an Agagite. He was arrogant.

Mordecai would not kneel to Haman.  Did they know he was a Jew?

Haman wanted to destroy all the Jews. Mordecai refused to bow. He had faith in God. But never prayed to God. Haman was evil. He had a year of plotting. God is working on it.

Jews took on the Persian way of life.

We must worship God only. In this world we have gods that are not Gods. Jews allowed to bow down to Kings. Haman and the Jews were enemies.

Mordecai got uppity cause his cousin was the Queen.

Haman got all the people together and wrote a script to do anything he wanted. He wanted everyone killed; he was evil. The people were sad. King was manipulated by Haman.

Dispatches were sent by couriers to all the king’s provinces with the order to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews—young and old, women and children—on a single day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar, and to plunder their goods. Esther 3:13

We must worship God, but honor those in positions.  Discussion on Trump - pray for the President.

In other chapters, we will see how Esther changes things. People are put in a dangerous position. God is working it out on behalf of His people. Mordecai only thinks he has to obey the King because Esther is Queen.

God stepped in when Haman spoke of killing His people. God puts people in place for a reason.

You may have power, but God has all power.

The Jews became exiled because of disobedience. They forgot about God. They did not honor the Sabbath. Money was more important than obeying God’s law.

We find the male always trying to be God. The King did not realize that he had permitted Haman to kill Esther, whom he loved.

Lawanda - interesting, I didn’t know Esther was to save God's people.

We see satan (Haman) doing his thing. Mordecai was prideful. He had an attitude because the two soldiers told him he wouldn’t bow.

Good roundtable discussion. Jan prayed us out.

Next Week - Chapter 4 with Evangelist Jan Lewis.

Monday, September 22, 2025 - MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Diane, Xavier, Minister Sandra Lewis, Evangelist Jan Lewis, Brenda

Open prayer: Diane

Pastor Jacquie read the Mandate.

As we study the Old Testament, we still see God is there.

Esther Chapter 2 - Minister Sandra Lewis

After Queen Vasheti is disposed of. Minister Lewis began by reading Chapter 2.

In the beginning, King Xerxes was looking for a virgin to become Queen. The King was powerful and easily influenced. He chose Esther as the winner.

Hegai was the keeper of the women. God used Hegai to produce Esther for the King.

Mordecai could scope you out. He watched over Esther. Esther was beautiful and humble. She gained favor. She obeyed Mordecai. She had quiet strength. She was obedient and well-groomed by her cousin.

Who can be compared to Esther?

Ruth - divine favor and strategic planner. Both are part of God’s plan.

Mary (Luke 1 and 2), Mother of Jesus. Courageous, young woman. Humility and faith created moments.

Esther was born a slave.

No place is out of place if you are where God wants you to be. We are all like Esther. God has a plan when we are seeking Him. Mary believed. Esther and Mary were both young. You have to seek to discover His plan. Follow to know the Lord. Walk in obedience.

Know your season. What is God speaking to you? You bring fruit in your season.

Mordecai told Esther not to tell everything. You have to follow your season. God wants to get us where we need to be, and that is what He did for Esther.

God always has a plan.

When Mordecai was at the gate, he overheard the plan to kill the King. That was his plan from God, in the right place at the right time.

Pastor stated it is a sad story. We have to study the word. In Genesis 3:16, women have always had a foot on their neck. Husbands rule over wives. Women did not have a say so.

Mordecai’s parents died there. He could have left Persia, but he stayed and lived their lifestyle. He took advantage of Esther’s beauty. He asked her to deny her heritage. Esther was under the hand of every man. She did what she was told.

God does not give us all the details, so we must trust him. We always ask if it is Love, Lust, or Law. In this chapter, we see Love of God and Lust of the King. There was still a punishment for women; they were second-class citizens.

The mandate states that women and men should rule together.

Mordecai’s pride would not allow him to bow down to Haman, Jewish pride.

Good meeting!

We are not cursed; we were under punishment and Christ freed us to grow and take our rightful place.

Evangelist Jan Lewis prayed us out.

Keep those who couldn’t make it tonight lifted in prayer.

Next Week - Chapter 3 - Diane

Attendees: Lawanda, Sandra, Linda, Jan, and Brenda

The pastor opened with the Objective of the Unfinished Women Ministry.

Ministry Objective – To study all the Women of the Bible. To grow in knowledge and God’s Wisdom develops a closer relationship with our Creator, knowing the Truth, and standing on The WORD of GOD! Seeking, Studying, and Sharing.

We are using the inductive study method. The inductive study approach examines John 14:16-31, Revelation 3:20-22, and 1 John 2:26-27.

You don’t need anyone to teach you because you have been filled with the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit lead you when you read and study. Write your commentary through the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  And remember, just as satan deceived Eve, that same devil in the garden is still here. The same one that put the thought in Cain's mind is still here. The same demon that, after the flood with Noah and his son, continued to deceive mankind. The same demon Jesus fought and defeated on the cross is still here, but we can overcome it through the Blood of Jesus. That demon was defeated on the cross.

Let the Holy Spirit teach you. There are no wrong answers through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will not give you incorrect answers. Trust God, trust Him. (Inductive Study).

Opening Prayer - Brenda

Mandate - Brenda (Genesis 1:26-31)

Esther, Chapter 1

Esther’s Jewish name is Hadassah, meaning “myrtle tree”. Esther means "star" and "good fortune."

The book of Esther takes place in the capital city, Susa. Susa (also known as Shushan in the Bible) is located in present-day Iran. Many Jews were living in exile in the Persian Empire. King Xerxes owned a great amount of land. He ruled over 127 provinces that stretched from India to Cush.

In his third year, King Xerxes held a banquet for all of his Nobles and officials that lasted 7 days. The banquet was held in the garden of the king's palace, which was highly decorated and had couches of gold and silver. The wine was served in goblets of gold, and the royal wine was abundant.

Queen Vashti also gave a banquet for the women in the royal palace. Women didn’t have much power in Persia. The King treated Queen Vashti like she was merchandise.

On the 7th day of the banquet, King Xerxes commanded the 7 eunuchs (Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Karkas) to bring him the Queen. The Queen refused to come. She didn’t feel like coming and being pawed over, paraded before his guests.

This angered the King. He sought advice from his wise men, Karshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memukan, the seven nobles of Persia and Media who had special access to the king and were highest in the kingdom.

“According to law, what must be done to Queen Vashti?” he asked. “She has not obeyed the command of King Xerxes that the eunuchs have taken to her.” Esther 1:15

The wise men reminded the King that the queen’s conduct would be a problem with all the women in Persia and would treat all the king’s nobles the same way. They convinced the King to issue a royal decree “…that Vashti is never again to enter the presence of King Xerxes.”  Esther 1:19.

Lawanda: "Esther is an example of putting God first. God had to get her to a place where she could hear God."

Evangelist Jan Lewis prayed us out.

Questions:

1.  Over the past two years of studying women in the Bible, who can you compare Esther to?

2.  What are the similarities of the relationships of Abraham, Sarah, and Pharaoh? Esther, Mordechai, and King Xerxes?

3.  How do you know that God is there for you when you can’t feel His presence and you are under attack?

Next Week - Esther Chapter 2, Minister Sandra Lewis

____________________

Here is how we are starting our season!

It’s now your time to lead a class. There are 10 chapters in the Book of Esther. We would like you to pick a chapter and use the 5 Ws and H to discuss with the group.  Use observation, interpretation, and application as your guidelines.

Observation - Observe the relationship between male, female, and God.

Interpretation - What is your interpretation of what you have studied?

Application - How can you apply this to young females today?

We are looking for the treatment of women in the Old Testament. This is what our Bible Study is all about: the treatment of women.

Remember, the Bible is about relationships, especially the Old Testament.

God’s mandate was that the male and female would have power over His creation.

Monday, June 2, 2025 - MEETING NOTES

Attendees: LaWanda, Diane, Brenda (Diane had to leave early due to an emergency. We prayed for her)

Brenda read the Mandate

Diane opened us in prayer

Discussion on Genesis 3:16. We started reading at Genesis 3:8 and focused on three words: curse, consequences, and punishment.

Some say consequences. With every action, there are consequences. Israel was punished many times. Consequences are the punishment given by God. Linda stated that all of it is a consequence. LaWanda stated that rules and principalities govern us, consequences are results of disobeying, and are punishments.

In Genesis 3:16, “women bearing children” was a punishment. In Genesis 1, we are all made in the image of God, equally. Male and female are equally made, and both are the heads, and God is the head of both. If you look at the triangle, God is always at the top, and male and female are at the bottom sides of the triangle.

The punishment we described goes back to Noah, where women are under the male. The verse states that males would rule over females.

Diane had to leave early.

The mandate shows that males and females are equal. God’s desire was for harmonious marriages.

Mother of Elisha
Is Elisha’s mother an Israelite? Mothers do not have to be Israelites.

1 Kings 19:19

We diverted our meeting to recover Jezebel to bring LaWanda up to speed.

We also covered the Famished Women of Samaria (2 Kings 6:26-30). This was a hard one - mothers eating their child. This happened in the Old Testament, but surprisingly, this still happens in other countries.

Next week will be our last meeting before break. Pastor Jacquie may do something different.

Great discussion, and Pastor Jacquie prayed us out.

Attendees: Pauline, Pat, Vonetta, Brenda

Pauline read the Mandate

Pauline opened in Prayer

Different study tonight. We did a look back at Genesis 1-3.

We started with Luke 10:16-19 with a focus on verse 18.

God is Spirit. God has no gender until He begot Jesus. (Philippines 2:5-11) and (Luke 1:35). We are spiritually made in the image of God. We were created freely. Genesis 1-27.

It took a female and the Spirit (God) to create Jesus. (Luke 1:35). God is known as Father God when we are spiritually born again.

Heaven was created first, and angels were created before man. We find that to be true in Genesis 1.

Luke 10:16-19 - Jesus was in Heaven with God when satan was created. (John 1:1-2).

Luke recorded facts.

Revelation 12

This is the war Jesus is talking about. Jesus saw satan kicked out of heaven. Revelation 12 tells us that satan was not part of the mandate.

Clarity on Genesis 1, 2, and 3.

Discussion on Genesis 3:16. The word consequence was defined. It means a result or effect of an action or condition.

In Genesis 2, they did not seek God. Holy Spirit directs on what’s real and what’s not. We see two creation stories in Genesis 1 and 2.

Refreshing our minds, we see the decline of males and females having a relationship with God in the Old Testament.

God said He would raise a shepherd - that shepherd was David. David had a relationship with God, but he was not perfect.

Let’s not forget the t-shirt sales. Each member is asked to sell 2 t-shirts. It’s not mandatory, but it will benefit the ministry in helping with youth scholarships and the elderly's needs in our communities.

We did discuss the upcoming break, and an announcement will be made.

Great discussions.

Brenda prayed us out.

Monday, May 19, 2025 - MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Pauline, Pat, Xavier, Linda, and Brenda

Brenda read the Mandate (Genesis 1:26-31)

Opening prayer - Xavier

Pastor Jackson read Isaiah 54:1-17. “We don’t want to forget when we are studying about Jezebel that we are saved and free. The evil spirits of Jezebel have no hold on us or our spirits,” stated Pastor Jackson. It’s easy to get caught up in worldly matters. Who you gonna serve?

We read Rev. 2:18-29 - Jezebel #3

Jezebel was worse. She was a worldly woman and did not believe in God. In the world, she was considered powerful, but in the eyes of God, she was a heathen.

Pastor Jacquie prayed for Pat because she was not feeling well. “We speak healing in her body.”

Rev. 2:18-29: The Spirit of Jezebel got into the church. The church was once good, but Jezebel came in and took over. The followers had taken their eyes off God.

Genesis 2 broke everything. Not many pastors preach Genesis 1. When we study, we must allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. Genesis 1 gives a sense of freedom.

Widow of Zarephath

We have Elijah and Elisha.

In 1 Kings 17, Elijah was God's most powerful prophet. Famine was coming to the land. There had been no rain in the land. He spoke this to Ahab, but he didn’t believe him. They worshipped the god of Baal.

God sent Elijah to Zarephath to a widow who would supply him with food. He met the widow at the gate and asked her for water and a piece of bread. She responded that she only had a little flour and a little oil. She was out gathering sticks to prepare their last meal. Elijah told her to go home and make a small loaf of bread for him and then make something for her and her son. He told her that the God of Israel said the jar of oil and flour would not be used up until the Lord sends rain on the land.

Great discussion on why the widow of Zarephath was told to make Elijah’s bread first. (1 Kings 17:13). What type of man was Elijah? Do you see any of Adams' characteristics in Elijah? Elijah was a powerful and prophet, and God spoke through him.

After reading and re-reading to get an understanding, it was discussed that when a man has power, he forgets about God and his promises to God. Often, we see men with power thinking they are God. Elijah became prideful, and pride turned him into a weak, faithless man because he put himself before God.

Pauline closed us in prayer.

Next week - Finish up with Elijah and start with 1 Kings 19. Please read and take notes.

Mother of Elisha—1 Kgs. 19:20

Wives of Ahab—1 Kgs. 20:3, 5, 7

Bathsheba - 2 Samuel 11, 12

Bathsheba means daughter of an oath or seventh daughter.

God said David was a man after his own heart. (1 Sam 13:14 and Acts 13:22)

We see that the punishment (Gen. 3:16) continued to grow. Wars were everywhere. Unlike others, David did ask God for forgiveness for his sins. He messed up many times, which caused generational curses.

2 Samuel 12:7 The Pastor stated that when you are in a relationship with God, you hear His tenderness and feel the love for God. David’s actions hurt God. This is agape love. Why was God angry with David?

Pat asked a question: Who is Jedidiah? Jedidiah is another name for Solomon. …and sent word through Nathan the prophet that they should name him Jedidiah (which means “beloved of the LORD ”), as the LORD had commanded. (2 Samuel 12:25)

David had eight wives and 10 concubines.

March 17, 2025 -  MEETING NOTES

New Member: LaWanda - Welcome LaWanda Orr

Attendees: Pauline, Pat, LaWanda, Linda, Xaviere, Jan, Brenda

Pastor Jacquie introduced our new member, LaWanda. All participated in giving the meaning of our study. Emphasis on incorrect teachings - brings incorrect behavior.

Pat read the mandate.

Pastor discussed we are finding out what God did and what God created us for.

Pauline did the opening prayer.

Tamar - 2 Samuel 13

Tamar is David’s daughter.  Amnon raped his sister, Tamar. Amnon was obsessed with her. When he asked her to go to bed with him, she said, “No, my brother!” she said to him. “Don’t force me! Such a thing should not be done in Israel! Don’t do this wicked thing. What about me? Where could I get rid of my disgrace? And what about you? You would be like one of the wicked fools in Israel. Please speak to the king; he will not keep me from being married to you.” But he refused to listen to her, and since he was stronger than she, he raped her. (2 Samuel 12-15).

Linda explained why Tamar was spoiled. “If a man meets a virgin who is not betrothed, and seizes her and lies with her, and they are found, then the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has violated her. He may not divorce her all his days.” (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 and Deuteronomy 24:1-5)

During that time, women had no say in who, when, what, and where as long as the man had the wealth and prestige. They had no rights or say so on where they would end up.

Medium of Endor (Also known as Witch of Endor) - 1 Samuel 28:9-4

A woman in the town of Endor who King Saul consults to summon the spirit of the deceased prophet Samuel despite having previously forbidden such practices.

King Saul, facing a dire situation with the Philistines and unable to get guidance from God through other means, is desperate for a sign. He seeks out a "woman who is a medium" (1 Samuel 28:7).

The story of the Medium of Endor highlights the themes of Saul's spiritual decline, the dangers of forbidden practices, and the consequences of disobedience to God.

She was fooled. She was as surprised when Samuel appeared. Saul was desperate; he had no connection with God.

Samuel told him you and your son are going to join me soon.

Saul killed himself after he saw his son was dead. He fell on his own sword. The armourbearer was scared and killed himself.

Jan prayed us out.

Questions:

  1. Who was Tamar’s mother?
  2. Who was Maacah?
  3. Was Tamar a victim of the law? Why?
  4. Was this lust or love with Tamar and her brother?
  5. How do women of today compare with the women we have studied?

March 3, 2025 MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Pauline, Pat, Linda, Xaviere, Brenda

Brenda read the Mandate.

Pastor Jacquie read Genesis 3:16

Opening prayer by Diane.

Galatians 5:24 (NIV) Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

We are dealing with agape love, the mandate, and the different types of love.

What do you think of Hannah? We see men with two wives. Cain's son had two wives. History repeats itself. Bigotry was law. This was the norm for society and had nothing to do with the Mandate.

Most of the women we have studied were pleasing men and not God. What effect does this have on our young ladies today? Most think that it is okay because they have not been taught better—great discussion on the young girls today.

Hannah

Why would Eli think Hannah was drunk while she was praying? Because women were not allowed in the temple.

Satan has no new tricks. If we were taught correctly, we would not see this repeated. Satan is doing the same thing as in the past. Children that have parents teach their children.

Were Eli and the rest men of God? No, only Samuel. Eli's sons were doing some of everything with women, and Eli was punished for this because he turned a blind eye.

Peninnah was hurting - she had many children with her husband, Elkanah, but was hurting. She teased Hannah because she had no children. She had no relationship with God. We never want to compromise the word of God. Some are still stuck in Old Testament teaching. Diane told the group about Peninnah losing all of her children, but two, she lost the same number of children that Hannah gave birth to.

What type of love did Hannah and Elkanah have? Diane said Eros and enduring love. Eros's love turns into agape love. You need agape love. If you don't know agape love - you don't know God. We learn agape love through a growing process.

Hannah's Prayer

Who was Hannah talking to or about in her prayer? Peninnah.

Abigail

Not many men heard God's voice. Abigail's husband, Nabel, was one. Women were becoming treacherous. Abigail was beautiful and intelligent.  She saved her husband and his household and prevented David from killing everyone. With her actions, she ended up becoming one of David's wives. Times are changing.

Next week:

Michal - 1 Samuel 14:49

Tamar - 2 Samuel 13. All the Women of the Bible, page 163.

Rizpah - All the Women of the Bible, page 142.

February 24, 2025 MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Pauline, Xaviere, Diane, Pat, Brenda

Pat read the Mandate

Opening prayer by Pauline

Discussed seven types of love. They are:

  • Eros – “Romantic Love” - the love between a man and woman. Romantic love
is a gift from God. Think of Adam when he first saw Eve, he experienced emotions he had never experienced before.

How many women have we studied that prayed? Was this because of tradition?

Old Testament, we are no longer under that law. What type of love did Ruth and Naomi have?

Love and lust are what the bible is about. Different types of love but some deal with lust and love. God is sharing His love and expects us to know him. Look for lust or love in your reading.

We began our study on 1 Samuel.

Hannah

Why is it important for women to have a child? The family line would continue.

Did Hannah's husband really love her?  The point of affection (Love) between man and woman  -  love does not say if you don't give me children, I'll get someone else. The triangle must be true to represent God. (Click here to view Triangle)

People have free will. This is supposed to be in Genesis 1. Genesis 2 is what is happening today.  If churches are accepting what is happening to Hannah, it's wrong.

Did Naomi love the Lord? She was angry but never got over it. How are women presented in the bible?  If he really loved Hannah, he wouldn't need a second wife. Hannah wanted to be respected in her culture. Where is the love? It's talking about everything but the love of God.

Samuel was the second Nazirite. Two prominent Biblical individuals who were Nazirites, or similar to Nazirites, were Samson (Judges 13:5) and Samuel (1 Samuel 1:11). For both, their status was lifelong (unlike the Nazirites described in Numbers 6).  All the different types of love are seen in this story.  You don't see love until Hannah prays.

Next Week - 1 Samuel Chapter 2

Is it love, the law, lust, or culture? Where is the love of God? Samuel was the last judge of Israel.

Who are the chosen people? We believe we are chosen and do not make the same mistakes as

Old Testament. Know the difference between love and lust.

Know Love - Know God

Pastor prayed us out.

Unfinished is about lust and love and knowing the difference. Love is God - Lust is Satan.

February 17, 2025 MEETING NOTES

Attendees: Pat, Pauline, Diane, Brenda

The pastor read the Mandate

Opening prayer by Pauline

We started with Ruth Chapter 4.

"In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit." Judges 21:25.

What is going on in Israel? No king, no one communicating with God. Everyone is doing what they want to do.

Who told Naomi and her husband to leave - nobody. Where is the relationship with God?  No one  is listening to God or seeking God for decisions. Where is the relationship with God? Women pleasing their husbands and not seeking God.

Deborah - God spoke to her. God speaks to the heart that is open to listen. Men were used to running everything.

If Naomi had a relationship with God, they would have not left.

No one in the Hebrew community to talk to, they picked someone to talk to God for them. The change started with Deborah. She was not under the punishment (Genesis 3:16). Deborah was put in a position by God. She had to make judgments about people. Deborah had a relationship with God. She had faith and did not care what they said about her.

They went back to their ways after the death of Deborah.

Naomi - when bad things happened, she blamed God. She obeyed the law and rules. She taught Ruth to listen to her husband and lift him. Naomi was a Hebrew woman who served her husband. (Genesis 3:16).

We are still watching women desiring their husbands and not God. Remember the triangle? Women in the Old Testament had no reference to right and wrong. They had no choices in dealing with culture.

Unfinished teaches a new mindset. "Sister, you are free" under the new covenant. We see women of the old.

With Ruth and Naomi, preachers teach bad terms to women. Women seek men to do everything for them. The truth will set you free, spiritually born again. We are no longer under the punishment. We are under the Blood of Jesus. Once God begins to speak to you and you allow Him - you are free.

Kinsman redeemer was law. Naomi knew about kinsman redeemer. They were obedient to the law.

Today, we are free.

When you read, ask the Holy Spirit to give you revelation. God is Spirit with Agape Love.

February 10, 2025 MEETING NOTES

Attendees:  Xaviere, Pat, Diane, Pauline, Jan, Brenda

Brenda read the Mandate.

Opening prayer by Pat.

Prayer request for Willie (Xavier), the Williams & Hudson Family (Xaviere)  and Thomas Smith (Diane). They have been added to our Prayer Request List.

Recap of women studied:

Mother of Micah (Judges 17)

Idol worshipers.

Did they ever stop worshiping idols?

Women of Benjamin (Judges 19-21)

The concubine of a Levite priest and two daughters. The woman was raped until early morning. This is how women were treated. The woman was cut into 12 parts. These parts were sent to the 12 tribes of Israel.

The Israelites punished the Benjamites. The husband of the murdered concubine told the story of how she was killed. It was an unfair act on the Israelites, the people of God. The Israelites went up against Gibeah.  They questioned the men of Benjamites, but they did not listen. The Israelites sought God. The Lord replied that Judah goes first.

A fight began because the Benjamites went with the men of Gibeah. The Israelites drew near and were killed by the Benjamites. The Israelites fasted and inquired of the Lord again. They prayed. The Lord gave them the victory. The Lord defeated the Benjamites.

The Benjamites had begun to inflict pain and realized their city was on fire. The men of the Israelites destroyed the whole city. They were set on fire.

The men of the Israelites took a vow that their women could not marry an Israelite woman.  The Benjamites were cut off from the Israelites. They went to Jabesh Gilead and killed women and children. They took the virgins to Shiloh in Canaan. The Benjamites must have heirs so a tribe can survive. They couldn't give them their daughters. They cursed any man who would take a Benjamite's woman as a wife.

The women were kidnapped to continue heirs. They returned to their inheritance and joined their place with the Israelites.

"In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit." Judges 21:25.

Women were made to obey and taken against their will and this is how they entered into the Book of Ruth.

Naomi  & Ruth - Ruth 1

Naomi loses her husband and sons. Naomi's husband did not acknowledge God. Her daughters-in-law were Orpah and Ruth, and they loved Naomi. Orpah and Ruth were Moab women.  Naomi was a strong woman. She and her daughter-in-law, Ruth, returned to the land of Judah.

When she lost her husband and sons, she did not go to God. No conversation with God. She leaned on her understanding. They should have cried out to God for direction. The punishment is still here and in effect. (Genesis 3:16).  She obeyed her husband, a Hebrew woman. She knew her husband's God. But, she had an attitude - she was angry with God. She was bitter and felt empty.

Ruth loved Naomi and stayed with her.  Naomi taught Ruth well.  Ruth was a pleasant person. What does Mara mean?

Kinsman-Redeemer -  Under the Mosaic Law, was a male relative responsible for acting on behalf of a relative who was in trouble, danger, or in need. The law of the kinsman-redeemer is given in Leviticus 25:25: “If one of your fellow Israelites becomes poor and sells some of their property, their nearest relative is to come and redeem what they have sold.” This law is key to how events in the book of Ruth take shape.

Naomi was never let down by God, and she sees this now. God loves her and has never left her.

We will finish Chapter 4 at the next meeting.

The drawing was held for our quilt giveaway. The winner of the quilt is Pat Johnson. The name of the quilt is Quilt of Hearts, and None Are Broken. Pastor Jacquie,  Diane, and Brenda sewed the quilt. Congratulations Pat!

Next Week Study:

Our study this week is on 1 Samuel - Women with a Purpose

The power of a praying woman under the pressure of this world and cultural pressures. But LOVE!

Some amazing things stand out about Hannah’s heart for God:

  • Hannah is the only Old Testament woman who is said to go to the Lord’s house.
  • Hannah is the only Old Testament woman who made a vow to the Lord.
  • Hannah spoke God’s name, Yahweh, more than any other woman in the Old Testament.
  • Hannah called herself “God’s servant” three times in her prayer, showing humility.
  • Most remarkably, Hannah knew God more intimately than the local priest Eli did.

Xavier gave a Praise Report. Let go - let God.

Recap of the women studied:

Gilead’s Wife - Judges 11:1-3

She was a prostitute and the mother of Jephthah. His father raised Jephthah. The other siblings disowned him. “You are not going to get any inheritance in our family,” they said, because you are the son of another woman.” Jephthah left and became a great warrior. He was also one of the Judges in Israel.

Samson’s First Wife - Judges 14
The first was the woman from Timnah whom he married. She was a Philistine and had no name.

Samson told her people to solve a riddle and gave them 7 days to solve it. She was coaxed by her people to get the answer to the riddle from Samson. His wife went to Samson and nagged him for the clue.

Question: “Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet.”

Answer: “What is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?”

Samson gave in and gave her the answer. He knew she had given them the a

January 6, 2025 Meeting Notes

Attendees: Jan, Pauline, Sandra, Xaviere, Pat, Brenda

Pastor Jacquie Jackson opened the meeting. She gave a brief on what Unfinished is about.

She welcomed everyone and wished them a Happy New Year. She thanked the members for being diligent in their studies. She also welcomed one new member - Sandra Lewis. They are longtime friends from when Pastor Jackson lived in Seattle. Great relationship and they have prayed together and cried together from Pastor Jackson’s salon chair.

What is the understanding of the mandate (Genesis 1:26-31)?

If God said it, it is so. God created man and woman. Man is made in the image of God. God is a spirit. We use gender (He) because that is how we have been taught. God gave us the power to rule over everything. God already gave us everything. In Genesis 1:27 it states that God created man and woman at the same time.

Genesis 3:16

Was not a curse on women, it was a punishment. The ground was cursed. God did not place a curse on man or woman. For the mandate to be complete, man and woman must become one flesh.

Theologians put women at the bottom.

Procreate is man and woman.

Holy Spirit gives revelation of God.

We seek to ask questions to understand and learn. No validation is needed. Be careful how you read. The mandate tells us how to live. The Blood of Jesus allows us to be born again. Jesus said circumcise the heart. Let us embrace the mandate.

Jochebed married her nephew. Their belief and custom was keeping the bloodline pure. She was the mother of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Shiphrah and Puah were midwives who feared God and had a relationship with God. They were not only responsible for helping Moses but also many babies.

Miriam was jealous of her brother Moses. She despised his wife Zipporah. She was kicked out because of leprosy. We don’t hear much more about her and learn she died of a broken heart.

Zipporah was Moses’s wife. She was of a different religion and did not believe in circumcision. She saved Moses’s life.

Pharaoh’s daughter, Bithiah was Moses’s adopted mother that raised him. She had the power to protect Moses. She was enslaved.

Initially, they were not interested in letting the women know God or building a personal relationship.

Shelomite was an Israelite mother and married to an Egyptian whose son was stoned to death because of ( the "Name") blasphemy. We read Leviticus 24:1-10 to establish how the customs were different. They were man-made customs/traditions. Leviticus 24:10-13 introduced Shelomite. They took her son to Moses for advice. There was a big discussion on how a mother could watch or have her child stoned to death. Discussion on Leviticus law that does not have the same meaning as Exodus 20. Levites made up their law (man-made law). Pauline and Diane will report next week on the Tribe of Dan and what was the law.

Pastor Jackson reminded us to look for love in everything because love is from God. Lust has no love and is not from God.

The study ended with a prayer by Pauline. Pauline also invited all to join the Prayer Line on Tuesday from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM Pacific Time. Noon (Pacific) and 2:00 PM (Central)

Next week our study will begin on Rehab (Joshua 2:1-21; 6:21-25).

January 6, 2025 Meeting

Happy New Year to our sisters in Christ. As we begin 2025 in Unfinished Women Ministry remember in Genesis 1-5 we did a lot of weeping. But as we learned the truth, weeping may remain for a night but rejoicing comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5).  We learned the difference between love and lust.

We become eager for instructions but we must understand the first prerequisite for instruction is salvation and faith. There is Salvation in Jesus Christ ONLY and new life with meaning.

Understand that the greater sin grew, the greater the punishment became true (Genesis 3:16). The woman begins to desire man more than God. Man became her King and he ruled over her. We see the punishment of Eve in Genesis 3:16. The punishment became powerful. Eve was the only one giving God praise for all the good things in her life, like children. Next we studied Cain’s wife who showed no relationship with God. She desired her husband and he ruled over her. From Eve we see the woman being submissive and desiring her husband before God. The punishment (not a curse) that God gave the woman increased over the years. How do you think women would look at the situation now?

We will talk about the women in Moses life briefly.

  1. Jochebed – mother of Moses, Aaron, Miriam.
  2. Shiphrah and Puah – Midwives’ “fear of God” put God first.
  3. Marian - sister  - Exodus 15:20,21 the women follow her:
  4. Zipporah – wife, Midianite – Cushite - jealousy - Nu. 12:1-15;
  5. Pharaoh’s daughter – adopted Mother Bithiah (woman that raised Moses). 1 Chronicles 4:18
  6. Did Moses marry a second time?

Our study for January 6, 2025 will be on Shelomith (Leviticus 24:1-10) and Rahab – Josh.2.1-21; 6.21-25.

We are excited to come together again!

God Bless you all - see on Monday on Zoom.

Women Bible Study Group Pastor Jackie would like each of us to Fast from 6:30 PM Sunday to 6:30 PM on Monday. The fast is for clarity and strength in understanding God’s Word. You don’t have to fast on food, but give up something - t.v., food, or deny something you like doing, etc. Denying something to hear from God. (If you need more information on fasting, please contact Pastor Jackson). We are fasting for focus on God’s Word about the women we have studied so far.

Last week you were asked to report on the women of the Bible we have studied. We will be comparing them to Eve (Mother of All Living, Genesis 3:20) and Sarah (Mother of all Nations, Genesis 17:16). Keep in mind we are looking for the 5 w’s and h. (Who, What, When, Why and How). Each person will receive 10 minutes to report on. Please pray for each other as we enter into the fast.

We will revisit Genesis 1-4, reminding us of the mandate that God gave us. God gives us the mandate in Chapter 1. We stand on the mandate.  We see in Genesis 3 that Eve and Adam were deceived by satan. It was not a sin until both Eve and Adam took a bite of the fruit. When Eve ate the fruit nothing happened. It was once Adam ate of the fruit that it became a sin. Half and half makes a whole. (See The Mandate)

John 8:7, 10-11

In this chapter we learn how Jesus asked a crowd to cast a stone against an adulator. Mind you, the only person before the crowd was one woman (John 8:7). She was caught in an adulterous act, which takes a man and woman. Where was the partner in this crime?  When all could not cast a stone, the woman stood alone in front of Jesus. Jesus said, " Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"  "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." (John 8:10-11).

Women can stop taking the blame for the sins of man. Sin did not become sin until both partners participated. Genesis 3:6-7.

The woman of the Bible that we will begin with this session is with Tamar #1,  Genesis 38:6-30. In our book, All the Women of the Bible, page 162.
